Blueprint for Growth
Blueprint
for Growth is an amazing insight to church growth from an author who started
like the rest of us "with nowt" and used the principles and concepts
that work to write his fantastic book "Blueprint for Growth". I
commend Tim King and his book without reservation. Read it and grow in all you
do. Pastor Stephen Cleveleys Community Church.
This
book was very readable and useful for all churches including successful ones.
I found it more of a work book where the leaders and pastors and congregations
have a structured agenda with which to think through and discuss their present
situation and any necessary changes. This book is an addition to his first book
'Blue Print for Growth' which outlines in detail clear strategies for change
and revival. ' Turn Your Church Around's main strength is that it is easy to
understand and avoids unnecessary controversy and arguments allowing the
individual reader to use the book as a guide and inspiration. P Troy.
Even
if at first glance this book doesn't seem relevant to you, it probably is! If
you're passionate about your Church and about getting more people plugged into
it (which every Christian should be) this book has wisdom for you. Well written
and easy to read, the brevity of this book makes it a great starting point for
anyone who wants to understand more about Church dynamic. Moreover, it is full
of a wealth of solid life experience that also makes it a rich resource for
established leaders and ministers. It's a particular shame that Church growth
seems such a rare focus in the UK at the moment. The author explains in simple
terms why you should be dreaming big and how you can put practical, successful
plans into place to have both a healthy Church and a healthy life. C Pemberton.
In Search of Ophir.
We first came into contact with this group in
January 1960 when we were married in the Salisbury assembly, then a few months
later when we were evacuated to Salisbury from the Belgian Congo during the
post independence troubles. It was impressed upon us then that God was at work
among them and through this book we see how it evolved and continued over a
good period of years. Well worth buying and reading. R Leeming.
It was my privilege to be a part of Bethshan
Assembly of God in Bulawayo for six years in the early 1980s. Tim King has
written a highly-readable history of the Assemblies of God in Zimbabwe. It
brought back a lot of memories of names and places, some long forgotten, most
never to be forgotten. Many of the pioneers have gone on to glory, but it is
good to see their endeavours being acknowledged. This is essential reading for
anybody who was associated with the AOG in Zimbabwe during the period covered.
Well done Tim! David Davies.
This book gives an insight into those days of
formation of the Assemblies of God in Rhodesia and is well written. I became a
Christian in 1958 as a result of Don Normand's ministry in Umtali Rhodesia now
Mutare Zimbabwe and later a minister in the Assemblies of God. Congratulations
Tim on a Job well done. Bill Stevenson.
